Family Resource Program: Open Tuesday – Friday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm, the Resource Center offers the following services:

Bus Passes:  Passes for medical and new employment.  Must be able to call and confirm appointments/employment.  Clients may receive up to ten (10) passes toward employment.  Passes are free to the client.  Bus passes are available Tuesday – Friday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Ohio State University Student Nurses: Free health outreach services through the Ohio State University Medical Center, helping adult clients to get needed prescriptions filled and any other medical attention they may need.  These are student nurses who are here every Monday from 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Columbus Heath Department Nurses: Free health outreach, helping adult clients to get needed prescriptions filled and any other medical attention they may need.  These are student nurses who are here every Friday from 10:00am – 12:00pm.

Volunteers:  Groups and individuals donate time to help in preparing, serving, and cleanup after the daily meal.  These persons are from civic groups, church organizations, business, schools and colleges.  Many area schools have programming in which students must serve a defined number of volunteer hours for graduation.   We provide programmed volunteer work hours to meet this requirement.  Individuals also help in the clothing room sorting and hanging donated items, as well as, bagging toiletries when available.

Community Service Volunteers: Adults and youth who are mandated by the court system to donate volunteer hours as a form of restitution may come to the Kitchen.  These individuals have been sent to us through the Franklin County Court systems, Federal Court system, and other various Mayors’ Courts.

Fans for Seniors: Thru collaboration with Life Care Alliance, we are able to give seniors a free fan during the summer heat.

Referrals: We have the ability to give needed referrals to all agencies in our City or in the area to which the client lives.
